Ok but like, unironically, I'd play the hell out of this game.

The moment I realized that description was literal, I was hyped. The second I deflected a bullet, this became the greatest game ever.

I like. Was fun to strategize what to eat, what to save for offerings, and it was just satisfying to slowly get more OP!

There are no words that can describe the sheer mixture of hype, nostalgia, and awe that I felt at seeing this.

Also saw one of your replies, if I recall correctly after Gainax went kaput all the rights to their stuff went over to Khara (Eva Rebuilds, Gundam GQX), but Khara either landed a joint deal with Trigger for Imaishi's shows (think Sony Pictures and Disney's agreement with Spider-Man), or the rights were just fully returned to Trigger, cuz the latter were the ones handling the re-release of the Gurren Lagann movies, holding an exhibition with old key animation sheets, and are animating for New Panty and Stocking.
